Last day with Cale

It is with a lot of mixed feelings that we say goodbye to Cale as Alden's after school babysitter. While we are excited for the next chapter for Cale and all that awaits him, he has become a part of our family and is adored by both Alden and Soren. We will miss his daily presence in our home. It has been a true joy to watch the friendship between Alden and Cale grow - they share a love of the abstract and the philosophical; of silliness and quietude; of tennis and skateboarding; of scientific reading and electronic beats. Thank you, Cale, for all the many ways you enriched Alden's world, cared for him, made him feel loved, and showed relentless patience with all of us. We aren't saying goodbye just yet, but we would never let your last day of work go by unrecognized.
