41 weeks

Wonderbug did not get the memo. While we would like to meet the stinker, we are finding stuff to do (e MAKING a new comforter cover, does this induce labor?; e and lois on lake washington). Visit with the midwives on Monday, hopefully labor before 42 weeks (10/2), or else we have to talk about induction . . .

due date, come and gone . .

Due date (saturday), came and went uneventfully. Sort of running out of things to blog on, but left with a fair amount of down time, so Im going to blog anyway, darnit. Jenny, above, who shared our due date did respond to the due date, a healthy boy born last night.

Did take one more trip to an island, this dog followed us around the beach. A couple seals in the sound barking at us from 100 yards out.

Elizabeth is feeling great, still sleeping well and exercising everyday. Appointment with the midwives on monday. Will keep everyone posted. . .

The Waiting Game

Well, this is the mom-to-be here; finally getting to be the one to choose some photos of the rest of the crew out here. We are heavily immersed in waiting these days, and as you can see -- it's a ball of fun. If anyone has suggestions for activities we can do throughout the day, please feel free to send them along, as we are growing bored with laundry, reading, watching PBS shows on Instant Netflix, and wondering aloud if we're having a girl or a boy. All that said, however, we're feeling pretty fortunate to have this time to relax and prepare... and sort the file cabinet.

37.5 weeks

We had a visit to the mid-wife yesterday -- all is well. Baby's head down, good sounding heart, midwife could not have given elizabeth more glorious reviews. And without going into too much detail, cervix is starting to look favorable (!) This prompted us to buy a diaper trash-can from a neighbor, which we're fairly certain came from the future.

Look how beautiful she is . .
