visit from gramma sam/pop-pop

This is a little bit delayed, but we had a wonderful lengthy visit from pop-pop and (newly retired) gramma sam.  Gramma Sam put in a couple weeks in the newborn trenches, Pop-pop joined for christmas week.  At the detriment of their sleep, we and the boys benefited greatly from the visit. Lots of great moments -- playing in the snow, bowling, christmas eve church, trip to the hardware store and diner, and long hours in the living room with the boys. Soren, in particular, grew quite accustomed to warm grandparent laps at his disposal (starting at 6 am).

Just enjoyed a wonderful trip from Aunt Kelli / Uncle Nate/ and cousins Lucy (2) and Max (5).  As Aunt kelli said in a text: "it was short but awesome fun --snow march, football, pizza party, lattes, storytelling, bi bim bop, library, quality chilling!"  Could not have put it better.  They also got to meet baby Soren, an event for everyone involved.

Merry Christmas!

The boys were asked to set up the scene for the family photo...  This was during dress rehearsal while the rest of us were still getting ready.  The final photo is below; less fun maybe, but still a pretty sweet reminder of Christmas Eve.
