Big A helped me out with the lawn this weekend -- having shown some renewal with recent rain.  It turns out the model hes using makes a really nice whirring noise, but doesn't cut the grass even a little bit.

Alden woke up from todays summer nap very sweaty and dazed.  He drank this milk in about 20 seconds, then just rested for a while . . .

cousins

Had an overnight visit with Nate, Kelli and the cousins (Max and Lucy) this weekend - met in South Haven, MI.  This photo is perhaps the first documentation of all of them looking at the camera at the same time.  They are all post-large meal and ice cream (see Alden's pants), with no nap.  Everyone slept well that night.  . .

Friends!

We were the lucky hosts of Dave & Julie and their absolutely charming kids, Blanche and William, this past weekend.  Despite Blanche having a fever for nearly the entire weekend, Alden was enchanted with the whole family.  We had a blast with these guys, and only wish they lived closer to us so that we could replicate this fun more often. Thanks for making the 13+ hour drive!

Aunt Jen Returns!

Aunt Jen came from Eugene for a long weekend and we made the most of every minute of her visit from afar. In a 3 day period, we crammed in swimming, reading, cooking, many walks, bike-rides, dinner out, several hours of olympics, shopping in downtown A2, back-yard sports, ice-cream eating, and of course lots of great conversation. We loved having you, Jen!
