bears fight song
The other day I asked Alden if he was excited about watching football on sunday, he said "yeah!" And when i asked which team we were rooting for, he said -- "the football team!" This concerned me that he didn't know of the koschmann affiliation with the chicago bears. So we played him the Chicago Bears Fight song. He's got it down now, this video provided by visiting Aunt jen . . .

Life in the Country
Due to an unanticipated (to us) closure of Alden's daycare, he and I made an early arrival for the holiday weekend at the Grandparents Feldman homestead. Alden has been treated royally and has, among other things, made cookies, visited a petting farm, gone to a party, played with a black lab, listened to the ocean (and "whales") inside a seashell, played in the rain, listened to both coyotes and owls outside his bedroom, looked up at the starry night, and gotten in loads of quailty time with his grandparents. He has been told that later on today, he might even get to ride on a real-life version of the vehicle pictured above. We miss you, dad, but we're having a grand time out here.
