Alden is now a full fledged belayer/volunteer for Rock Cancer. He stayed late this last session to do demonstration of lead climbing for a kid named Zach.

Warm weather didn’t stop us from competing at three generations this year. E and soren did 10k and alden pop pop and C did 23k. Soren skied expertly but had a crash with a celebratory jump at the finish. He finished as one of only two in his age group for 10k.
23k skied slow and steady and had a very memorable and solitary afternoon in the woods, alden finishing his first race and the only finisher under age 15.
Awesome day for the family all around.

Boulder 2023 v3
Visiting with Hillary and Jen (and kids Quindlen and Elliot) at their house outside of Boulder. Hiking Mitchell Lake - still covered in snow and difficult to navigate.
