Summer in Treetown

It has been quite a summer already and we are behind on our documentation... Here are a few pics of various adventures - visit with Gramma Sam and Pop Pop, a visit from Cousin Cleveland Max, some canoeing, and some hanging out around the house.  (Sorry for the poor chronology of the photos... they are compiled from multiple cameras.)

Nanny Emily

We all continue to adore Nanny Emily... She keeps our household running with her attentive care of Soren, as well as her constant organizing, straightening, tidying, and general optimisim in the face of total chaos as we make our way through each week. Thanks, Emily!

Traverse City

Driving up to Traverse City to visit long-time friends Katie and Brian at their summer home on Lake Michigan. The drive was beautiful for the first 2 hours, then really, really long into the night. The next day we had to regroup with a nap by the side of the road (below).

 

 

 

Above is the view from Katie's front lawn -- what a stunning spot. We are growing very fond of Northern Michigan. Alden used every corner of this yard for baseball practice.

On the return trip - Carl with Soren in the ergo, trying hard to get him to sleep. It didn't work.
