dude's day
Elizabeth and Soren are in Massachusetts for the next half-week. Alden and dad, left to their own dude devices, rode Thomas the Train at the Henry Ford Museum and attended the Tigers game -- gorgeous day for a game; Tigers won, narrowly, which was great.
For better or worse, Alden spent more time eating candy, hot dogs, and wanting to "go explore" the stadium, which has a great theme park for kids in the corridors behind the stands (despite pricing in baseball dollars $$$). Alden did stick it out to the end of the game, though, and even told the ladies behind us: "Dont worry -- Ill catch the ball if it comes this way." Then shortly after droppped his glove and asked for more candy. Dude's day!

Old Friend
My first ever friend came to visit this week, bringing along her husband, Garry, and her children, Sam and Jack, who are just about the age that Rosy and I were when we started playing together. What a treat it has been to watch our kids running around at the park together and riding bikes in the driveway... We are so glad that they made the long drive here!

radeskys!
We enjoyed a visit from Seattle friends - Nick, Jenny and Thomas (previous celebrities on our blog - above, center), who are considering moving here. Also pictured above, Bob, Ali and James, our local homies, who helped us attempt to close the deal -- after the visit, they are. . . still considering. We are not good closers, apparently. A good visit over all, fun to reunite - now in a midwestern locale.

Nanny Emily!
Grandpa Fixes the House
Grandpa Fred thought it was finally time to take care of the Christmas tree that was sitting on our front porch. It's been a busy winter for us, so a few things never quite got tended to this winter...
He also made a major improvement to the kitchen and got us a new light fixutre -- amazing!
Many other updates were not documented for posting, but we are appreciating them daily here. Thanks, Grandpa!
